The crash deals a fresh blow to the beleaguered U.S. plane maker, which has been mired by safety and production issues in recent years.

Authorities have now started to hand over the remains of the victims of one of India’s worst aviation disasters after identifying some through DNA tests.

Officials have also been trying to establish how many people were killed on the ground and have been continuing the slow process of matching DNA samples to confirm the victims' identities.
