Alicia Silverstone sits down with USA TODAY to discuss how the media covers women, "Clueless" and her latest projects "Irish Blood" and "Bugonia."

Loosely based on Jane Austen's 1815 novel Emma, the film became a massive success and achieved a cult following over the years. It led to an eponymous spin-off TV series which aired three seasons on ABC and UPN between 1996 and 199.

While the project is still "in the baby stages," Silverstone is "confident" that they will honor Clueless while bringing "something fresh and new to it"
