Monday night at Chase Field, Alonso hit his ninth home run of the year in a 5-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, going 2-for-4 with a two-run moonshot that gave the Mets a 2-1 lead. Alonso has been known for game-breaking home runs since he entered the league in 2019 and hit more than any rookie had ever with 53.
