Robert Duvall, the Academy Award-winning actor known for roles in some of American cinema's greatest films, including "The Godfather" and "Apocalypse Now," has died at age 95.

The catalogue of his movies is unrivalled, a roll call of some of the greatest Hollywood films ever made: The Godfather, To Kill A Mockingbird, M*A*S*H, The Conversation, True Grit.

Last month on Janaury 5, the late actor celebrated his 95th birthday and had received a loving video tribute from his wife to ring in the special milestone.
