The Memphis Grizzlies' decision to trade Desmond Bane doesn't reflect any shift in the organizational view of star guard Ja Morant, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

The deal gives Orlando an accomplished guard with much-needed outside shooting skills while sparking questions about Memphis’s plans for the future.

The Grizzlies traded Bane on June 15, acquiring guards Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony and four unprotected first-round picks from the Orlando Magic.
