Bharti Airtel Group chairman Sunil Mittal is going to achieve another feat with an acquisition in AMP Energy Green Three Pvt.. The company has acquired a 26% stake in the AMP Energy Green Three, Bharti Airtel said in a stock exchange filing,

The telecom giant has entered into an agreement for the acquisition of 3,78,90,005 equity shares, or a 26% stake, in the special-purpose vehicle.

Bharti Airtel's shares could remain in focus as the company acquires a 26% stake in AMP Energy Green Three by purchasing 3.79 crore shares. The transaction is valued at Rs 37.89 crore. AMP Energy Green Three is developing a 50 MW hybrid wind and solar power plant in Rajasthan.

The project will be connected to Power Grid Corp.’s 220-KV grid substation at Fatehgarh and supply green power to industries across India through interstate network.
