MILAN -- Sidney Crosby was still being evaluated for a lower-body injury Thursday, but the Team Canada captain has not been ruled out for the semifinals of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.

Three of hockey’s international powerhouses are in the semifinals at the Milan Cortina Olympics after getting a scare at the start of the knockout round. The United States, Canada and Finland all won in overtime in the quarterfinals to move one victory away from playing for the gold medal.

The next generation of Canada's superstars are ready for the challenge against Finland.

Flyers defensemen Travis Sanheim and Rasmus Ristolainen will play one another in the chase after a gold medal when Canada faces off against Finland on Friday morning in the men's hockey Olympic semifinal.
