Police are still searching for suspects in the mass shooting at Taste of the City Lounge as shaken neighbors call for peace and stronger community safety.
Police say they recovered 42 shell casings at the scene from up to four different shooters involved in the gang-related shooting.
The NYPD says 19-year-old Marvin St. Louis, 27-year-old Amadou Diallo, and 35-year-old Jamel Childs, were all shot and killed inside Taste of the City Lounge on Franklin Avenue. Detectives say Childs and Martin St. Lewis have been identified as the shooters.
The three people killed were all men who lived in New York City, and NYPD officials said two of them fired shots during the incident.
The Crown Heights community came together for a vigil near the Taste of the City Lounge after the deadly shooting. CBS News New York's Naveen Dhaliwal reports.
A possible motive for the shooting remains under investigation, but authorities have said it appears to be gang-related.
