Rose was shot and killed after being the first to respond to the scene when a gunman opened fire in an attack on the Centers for Disease Control two weeks ago.

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The DeKalb County police officer killed during a shooting at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Atlanta headquarters was honored on Friday. Officer David Rose’s memorial was held at First Baptist Church Atlanta, located in Dunwoody at 4400 North Peachtree Road.

A public memorial service is happening today for Officer David Rose, the DeKalb County police officer killed during a shooting outside the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention headquarters.
