It appears that we’ll be without Gunther for a bit following his match with CM Punk at WWE SummerSlam on Saturday night. The Ring General lost his World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of SummerSlam night one to CM Punk.

Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez covered all the news coming out of the show on Wrestling Observer Radio, available now for subscribers. They noted that Breakker may have suffered an injury on the show that limited his ability to get involved in the post-main event cash-in angle with Seth Rollins and CM Punk.

WWE fans might not see Gunther on their screens for a while after his defeat to CM Punk at SummerSlam. The Ring General lost his World Heavyweight Championship in a gruelling main event on night one of the PLE.
