CHICAGO (AP) — Kyle Manzardo hit a tiebreaking home run and All-Star Steven Kwan drove in two runs to help the Cleveland Guardians beat the Chicago White Sox 6-2 on Saturday. Manzardo’s solo shot in the sixth off reliever Jordan Leasure (2-5) gave the Guardians a 3-2 lead and helped Tanner Bibee secure his first win since May 22.
The Guardians have five picks in the first three rounds. They’ll select 27th, 64th (second round), 66th (Competitive Balance Round B), 70th (Competitive Balance Round B) and 101 (third round). The Guardians acquired the 70th pick from Arizona as part of the Josh Naylor trade in December that brought them right-hander Slade Cecconi.
The White Sox and Guardians meet for a four-game series before the All-Star break. Cleveland is coming off a series sweep over Houston where the Guardians scored 21 runs to the Astros’ 13.
