Oasis have finally returned to their hometown to perform together for the first time since 2009 as Liam and Noel Gallagher walked out hand in hand once again for their reunion shows

The launch of their debut album Definitely Maybe over three decades prior encapsulated an era, sparking a sense of hope and possibility - now, their reunion resonates with similar sentiments. For many of the fans at Heaton Park on Friday (July 11), they were either too young or not even born when Oasis first made waves in the UK music scene.

Oasis fans are all saying the same thing after Liam and Noel Gallagher took to the stage of the first of five Heaton Park gigs. Taking the stage at 8:15pm as expected, the brothers were met with thunderous applause and cheers in their home city.
