While the United States won gold, their team of Ellie Kam and Danny O’Shea was more or less along for the ride. The duo posted the fifth-best score in the Short Program, while ending up fourth in the five teams competing in the Free Skate.

Elana Meyers Taylor won her first gold medal, and sixth overall, taking first in women's monobob. She is now tied with Bonnie Blair as the most decorated female American winter Olympian. Her teammate, Kallie Humphries, took bronze.
