Former teammates of late UNI player Parker Sutherland remember his constant energy that made even the toughest games and workouts bearable.

"When it happens to such a young kid with so many good things going for him, it's a tragedy," said Mitch Moore, Parker's high school football coach.

Northern Iowa college football player Parker Sutherland has died unexpectedly, the university has announced. He was 18. Sutherland died after collapsing during an offseason workout, head coach Todd Stepsis said during a press conference Monday.
