Much like its predecessor, Fyre Festival 2 appears to be off to a bumpy start. Earlier this week, officials in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, issued a statement saying that the sequel to the ill-fated 2017 music festival had not been approved within the municipality.

The location that was said to be the site of next month’s Fyre Festival 2 may not serve as the venue, leading to questions about where the event will be held.

This is per Stereogum, which notes that the government of Mexico’s Playa del Carmen issued a social media statement on Thursday, flatly denying any involvement in Fyre II, saying that “No event of that name will be held in Playa del Carmen.
