Firefighters discovered some precious items after coming to the aid of a family whose home was destroyed by a fast-moving wildfire in Simi Valley this week.

Los Angeles firefighters found a symbol of the everlasting in the ashes of family home destroyed by the Sandy Fire. Members of LAFD Engine 85 were sifting through burned out portions of the Simi Valley home when they found a wedding ring that belongs to the Boyle family.
