TRUMP'S U.K. TRIP: President Donald Trump will return to Washington today after meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss trade and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and reaching a trade agreement with the European Union.

President Trump disagreed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's claim that no starvation is taking place among the people of Gaza.

Only a few weeks ago, President Donald Trump seemed confident a deal was days away that would end the fighting in Gaza, secure the release of hostages and allow aid to flow into an enclave where people are starving to death.

The new polling also found that about half of U.S. adults now have an unfavorable view of Israel's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, the most negative rating he has received since he was first included in Gallup polling in 1997.

Trump claimed that he had backlash from some of his supporters but stressed he decided to send aid to Gaza anyway because there is “a humanitarian reason for doing it.”

For Trump, whose foreign policy approach is defined by a transactional dealmaking strategy, the starvation unfolding in Gaza provides a key test of whether his America First foreign policy can confront the crisis.

Trump met on Monday at one of his Scottish golf courses with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who pressed him on the U.S. taking a larger role in helping quell a growing food crisis in Gaza amid Israel’s ongoing war with Hamas in the territory.

President Trump said the US and other nations are giving money and food to Gaza but that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has “got to sort of like run it.”
