The first stateline county fair opens it’s doors Tuesday, just as some of the hottest temperatures scorch the stateline.

The Stephenson County Fair is taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of animals and patrons during the heat wave, including providing shade, fans, water, and an air-conditioned tent.

Union Dairy, a beloved Freeport institution, has been selling ice cream at the Stephenson County Fair to raise money for local organizations. See who they're helping this year.
