Rookie QB Quinn Ewers will start vs. the Bengals over veteran Tua Tagovailoa, and while Ewers will need help to succeed the majority of the burden to win will rest on his shoulders.
Tagovailoa is 0-5 in games with temperatures below 40 degrees at kickoff. That means Miami's losing streak in cold weather games isn't all the fault of the quarterback, as he played in less than half the 13 straight losses. However, he clearly hasn't done much to help either.
Rookie Quinn Ewers is the Miami Dolphins' new starting QB. His road was paved by coaching from Dad and understanding from Mom.
The Dolphins were eliminated from playoff contention with three weeks left, but they vow that won’t affect their effort and approach.

Former Falcons linebacker waived by Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins are waiving edge rusher Matthew Judon, according to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Judon, a four-time Pro Bowler, spent the 2024 season with the Atlanta Falcons but was not re-signed in free agency. He later signed with Dolphins, appearing in 13 games but failing to record a single sack.
Adding injury to insult, Miami Dolphins safety Minkah Fitzpatrick hurt his calf in their loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 28-15, on Monday at Acrisure Stadium. The defeat eliminated the Dolphins from contention for the playoffs.
