U.S. stocks tumbled Friday as the “Trump bump” that Wall Street got from last week’s presidential election, along with a cut to interest rates by the Federal Reserve, kept fading. The S&P 500 dropped 1.

It finds that the party in the White House tends to stay in power when the US stock market rises ahead of a presidential election. In all but two elections since 1944, the incumbent party has won the race for the White House when the S&P 500 advanced between the end of July and Halloween,

S&P 500, Dow and Nasdaq are all at all-time high levels primarily on the back of falling inflation levels and the US Fed rate cut campaign.
