The NBA has unanimously approved the sale of the Boston Celtics to a group led by private equity mogul Bill Chisholm.

A group headed by Bill Chisholm is set to take control of the Boston Celtics after the NBA Board of Governors unanimously approved the sale on Wednesday.

The NBA officially has signed off on the sale of the Celtics to Bill Chisholm and his partners. The league announced Wednesday that its Board of Governors “unanimously approved the sale of the controlling interests in the Boston Celtics to an investor group led by Bill Chisholm.”
