Astronomer, Pete DeJoy and Coldplay scandal

Pete DeJoy was announced as Astronomer's interim CEO on Saturday following a kiss cam scandal involving his former boss.
Days after tech tech startup Astronomer announced the resignation of its married chief executive, Andy Byron, who was seen in a viral video with the head of human resources, Kristin Cabot, at the band’s performance at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., the firm confirmed Thursday that Cabot is no longer employed by the company.
DeJoy was named Astronomer’s interim CEO after Byron was placed on leave following his alleged cheating scandal.
Pete DeJoy, the company’s cofounder, is taking over for former CEO Andy Byron as Astronomer looks into his alleged affair that was revealed by the Jumbotron at a Coldplay concert Wednesday night. DeJoy previously served as Astronomer’s Chief Product Officer, the company said.
Let’s face it: If now-former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot hadn’t been caught canoodling on camera at a Coldplay concert, it’s unlikely DeJoy would have wound up being named the new CEO, at the company he co-founded a decade ago.
