A 22-year-old University of Nebraska Omaha basketball player drowned in the Blackridge Reservoir in Utah over the weekend.

Mayar, 22, was a graduate student who joined the Mavericks after playing two seasons for Summit League rival North Dakota.

Omaha forward Deng Mayar died in a drowning incident in Utah, the school confirmed Sunday. Mayar was 22.
