The Chargers are hiring former NFL linebacker and Western Michigan edge rusher coach Sean Spence as their new LBs coach.

A former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker has received his first NFL coaching opportunity with the Los Angeles Chargers.

There's now another former Pittsburgh Steelers player holding a coaching role in the NFL.

The Chargers hired two defensive coaches this past weekend, including NaVorro Bowman's replacement.

The Chargers are reportedly hiring Western Michigan's pass rush specialist coach who is a former NFL linebacker and transformed an edge rusher in 2025 to one of the most productive in the nation.

Jordan Schultz is reporting that the Chargers are hiring Sean Spence as their new inside linebackers coach. Spence, 35, is a former third-round pick of the Steelers back in 2012.
