Erin is expanding in size and scope. Life-threatening rip currents and rough surf will impact much of the U.S. East Coast this week.

Erin has intensified further as of the 11pm National Hurricane Center update. It's sustained winds have increased to 100mph making it s Category 2 storm. It is expected to rapidly intensify over the next 24 hours and become a Category 4 by Saturday evening. Forecast track keeps it east of the U.S. and west of Bermuda.
