George Kittle, the most prolific tight end in 49ers’ history, has secured a four-year extension ahead of his ninth season.

The 49ers disappointingly finished last in the NFC West with a 6-11 record, but Kittle was one of the team's few bright spots. The 31-year-old put forth a strong season with 78 catches for 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns across 15 games on his way to earning his sixth career Pro Bowl selection and second-team All-Pro honors.
