OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The Douglas County Health Department is issuing a public warning about the downtown Holiday Inn on Cuming Street, saying the hotel’s water park is operating without valid permits.

A water park inside a downtown hotel reopened to the public Thursday after meeting all regulatory requirements for health and safety, the Douglas County Health Department announced.

The Holiday Inn in downtown Omaha was told in December to shut down its water park due to "significant non-compliance" with mechanical and chemical safety standards.

An inspection is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Downtown Waterpark Hotel, the Douglas County Health Department says. If it passes, they'll be allowed to reopen.
