The freezing water of Barbour Pond was the scene as Paterson Fire Department’s special operations team conducted ice rescue training.

Crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Police Scotland, and the Scottish Ambulance Service took part in the major incident simulation.

Robert Paterson, the airport’s operations director, said that the training was “essential to ensure we remain prepared for any scenario”.
