Blood of My Blood makes clear, that work includes coming up with a whopper of a lie in order to protect those you hold most dear. Episode 4 finds both Ellen and Julia throwing themselves headlong into plans that require them to keep up major ruses.

Blood of My Blood" Ellen continues prepping for her arranged marriage while thinking of her beloved Brian. Along the way, Ellen learns some concerning information about the Grants.

The episode ends with a dedication card for the memory of Brian McCardie. McCardie, who died unexpectedly in April 2024, plays Isaac Grant on the series. Grant is the chieftain of his clan, and as such, he poses a threat to Colum (Seamus McLean Ross), Dougal ( Sam Retford ), Ellen ( Harriet Slater ), and all of the MacKenzies.
