Do you smell it, folks? That’s race fuel and burning rubber and only the feeling that race week can bring. The Cookout Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium is almost here. We are about to embark on another year of NASCAR Cup Series racing.

The Winston-Salem Police Department has announced several road closures ahead of the race. On Saturday, Feb. 1, Argonne Boulevard at Calvert Drive will only be open to credited people associated with the race. Argonne Boulevard at South Martin Luther King Jr. Drive will also be closed to most traffic.

NASCAR revealed the format for the 2025 Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium, culminating in a 200-lap feature on Feb. 2.

It’s OK to call Richard Petty the GOAT of NASCAR. For those not familiar with that term, it stands for Greatest of All Time. NASCAR officials says there are around 6,000 parking spaces around Bowman Gray Stadium. With the crowd for The Clash expected to be in the 14,000 range parking will a be tight, much like the quarter mile track itself.

Twenty-three cars will race 200 green-flag laps to claim the Cook Out Clash title Feb 2 at Bowman Gray Stadium, NASCAR revealed Tuesday. The 23-car field is the same number of cars that ran in the feature of last year’s Clash at the LA Memorial Coliseum.
