Out rolled the 2025 New York State Fair butter sculpture, 800 pounds of creamy creativity carved into “Dairy For Good: Nourish. Grow. Thrive.” This unsalted work of art is the equivalent to 3,200 sticks of butter, enough to cover 76,800 pancakes.

This year's theme is “Dairy for Good: Nourish. Grow. Thrive.” It was inspired by the 125th anniversary of “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,” whose author, L. Frank Baum, was born and raised in Chittenango, Madison County.

The 57th Annual American Dairy Association North East Butter Sculpture has officially debuted at the New York State Fair, and this year’s display is a true celebration of dairy, life, and a little bit of imagination.
