Thousands gathered on the Michigan Capitol lawn on Saturday, June 14, for one of the No Kings demonstrations planned across the country to protest President Donald Trump's administration.

Authorities in Virginia arrested a 21-year-old man they said intentionally drove an SUV through the crowd at the town's "No Kings" day event.

“We’re standing up for the rule of law, for due process, for constitutional government,” he said.

Protesters across Michigan and the United States are rallying Saturday afternoon in a demonstration organizers are calling a "national day of defiance."The "No Kings" rallies are being described by organizers as "a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to the increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption of the Trump administration.
