U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle warned Monday that planned SEPTA cuts could force Amtrak to cut the Keystone Service line from Philadelphia to Harrisburg.

About 1,300 people board trains in Delaware daily. If no funding fix is found, cuts would begin within days and the rides would stop by January.

Due to a lack of state transit funding, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, or SEPTA, will implement major service cuts starting Aug. 24 for bus/metro and Sept. 2 for regional rail.
