Police were called to the 700 block of East 43rd Street, just west of Cottage Grove Avenue. They found five people wounded at the scene.

A 32-year-old man was fatally shot early Wednesday in the Rogers Park neighborhood. Police said the victim was hit several times in the upper body around 2 a.m. and later died at St. Francis Hospital.

One night last July, a 15-year-old stood in front of his Saginaw Township home with a blue assault rifle and fired nearly two dozen rounds at a passing vehicle. His shots instantly killed the driver and wounded two teens.
