Woodside, who played at Toledo, is back in training camp with the Falcons and is set to see action in the exhibition season. “He deserves those opportunities,” Falcons coach Arthur Smith said.

In 2019, Woodside was coached by Arthur Smith, who now leads the Falcons. "You've got to have contingency plans, so the contingency plan was to get Logan in here," Smith said.

Woodside finally got into a groove at Toledo and proved he could be successful. In fact, he still holds the career record for passing yards (10,514), touchdowns (93) and passing efficiency (162.87).
