Ruben Amorim has said it is up to the players called “overpaid” and “not good enough” by Sir Jim Ratcliffe to prove the Manchester United co-owner wrong. The United head coach implied those singled out by Ratcliffe could have few complaints, and named Casemiro as one player who can perform “so much better”.

Ruben Amorim feels Mason Mount can still have a huge part to play for Manchester United and is reportedly desperate to get him back to fitness. The England international moved to Old Trafford from Chelsea in the summer of 2023 for an initial fee of £55m.

"We had Bruno and he solved the problem," Ruben Amorim mused after Manchester United drew Arsenal at Old Trafford.
