Millwall winger Romain Esse's move to Crystal Palace is edging closer, according to Lions boss Alex Neil. "There wasn't an issue," Neil said when asked if an injury ruled Esse out of their 3-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge in the FA Cup third round on Monday.

It is understood that the Eagles will pay around £14.5m for the talent, who has netted four goals in 24 Championship appearances for the Lions so far this term.

Meanwhile, Tyrick Mitchell has been the mainstay of the Palace defence on the left side since making his breakthrough in 2020. Glasner has said that he can improve his attacking output but he is always solid and dependable.
