Royal Caribbean announced the name and home port for its third Icon-class ship that is set to inherit the title of world’s largest cruise ship when it debuts in 2026.

Legend of the Seas, the third ship in Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class, will launch in July 2026 and spend its first summer cruising the Mediterranean. It will then journey to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from where it will sail year-round to the Western and Southern Caribbean, the cruise line announced today.

Royal Caribbean rewards gamblers with free cruises often. In its Casino Royale onboard gaming establishments, cruisers can earn an instant certificate for a free cruise based on their level of play on that sailing, which they can choose from a list available from the onboard casino host.

The next Icon Class ship will carry the name Legend of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International said in a press release. Currently under construction at the Meyer Turku shipyard, the 250,800-ton vessel will debut in the Western Mediterranean in July 2026.

The ship will debut in the Mediterranean in July 2026 and begin sailing from Fort Lauderdale the following November. Bookings open Feb. 20 to the general public.
