The tangled and tumultuous relationship between President Trump and media mogul Rupert Murdoch has taken a new, dramatic turn. Trump is suing Murdoch, his company News Corporation and the Wall Street Journal’s parent company.
As the MAGA civil war worsens over the White House's handling of the Epstein files, Donald Trump has set his sights on a new enemy: Rupert Murdoch. Trump is suing the media mogul and his media empire over bombshell reporting from The Wall Street Journal alleging he sent a 'bawdy' birthday letter to the late Jeffrey Epstein.
Trump, who filed the federal suit in Miami, is accusing the paper and its owner of libel related to an article published Thursday that alleges the president wrote a “bawdy” message to Jeffrey Epstein in 2003 for the disgraced financier’s birthday.
In posts on his Truth Social platform, Trump has denied writing the letter, calling the story “false, malicious, and defamatory” and “another example of FAKE NEWS!” He went on to say that he asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to seek the release of grand jury testimony from the prosecution of the disgraced financier.
