Nooner update Melissa is still strengthening. Last I heard it was at 908MB with 160-165mph sustained winds. The NWS hurricane airplane had to leave the storm early due to severe turbulence. The mode for Jamaica is to survive this storms. That country is going to be a mess when the storm passes. Melissa is also going to pass over Cuba and a few other smaller countries. I wish I had better news to share. Impact from the eye in Jamaica will be late tonight or early tomorrow. | Weatherman Sam LLC
