On April 4, 1968, Robert F. Kennedy delivered a poignant speech in Indianapolis after learning of Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination, urging calm and unity among the gathered crowd. The speech, delivered from a flatbed trailer at 17th and Broadway, was captured on film by WISH-TV. WISH-TV was the only station to record the historic moment.
