8-18-24 Hurricane Swell hitting rodanthe pier today In Rodanthe NC. Was able to fly a drone over the area and it was pretty shocking to see how much beach has been taken just this summer. For all those who think these people built their homes on the beach are a little mistaken. Many of the homes falling in today used to be 3 to 5th row away from the ocean with huge dunes to protect them, but all of that is gone today. I’m not fortunate enough to own any of these homes, but it’s sad for the owner
