Fridays work on the 1938 MAN 8 cylinder engine. In between videoing the RR Wankel engine we managed to do a bit of work on the MAN! After the video was taken the leaks on the pipework were rectified we filled the pipework with diesel flushed out the pipework and fitted the 8 connecting pipes between the manifold and the fuel pumps. | Anson Engine Museum

As it was a development engine at RR the development continues at the Anson! At least it fired a number of times!! Geoff has looked at the fuel pump and it wasn’t going into the cold start fuel position similar to the button on a Gardner. Some hot air on the engine intake might also help as we dint know with it being a water cooled engine did it require water
