In 1983, he and Tony Atlas, as “The Soul Patrol,” became the first African-American WWF World Tag Team Champions, holding the titles until 1984. After retiring in 1991, Rocky trained his son, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, helping him enter the WWF.
